Pullmantur Cruises is a Spanish company that operates cruise ships and tours to destinations around the world. It is a subsidiary Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
Pullmantur was originally founded in 1971 to offer landexcursions and citytours throughout Spain. The couple ventured into cruise cruising in 1990 when they chartered Big Red Boat, a Premier Cruises vessel. In 2000, they purchased the ship from Premier Cruises and started their own cruise business.
The company grew rapidly and they added the former Pacific Princess Princess of Princess Cruises to their fleet in 2002. The company began offering cruises aboard a few other ships it had chartered with Cruise Invest.
Their fleet comprises four cruise vessels. These include Horizon, Sovereign (Zenith), Horizon, Sovereign, and Monarch.

On the 11th July 2020, it became known that all scheduled cruises for Pullmantur Cruises would be cancelled. The ships would then go into cold layup until they are able to resume service. It was a long week before the company filed for reorganisation pursuant to Spanish insolvency law on the 22nd June. That means the end of Pullmantur Cruisses.
Later, it was revealed that the ships would be sold to Turkish breakers in a reorganization plan. The Monarch and Sovereign were the two oldest ships. They were then taken to Aliaga Ship Breaking Yard in Turkey to be recycled. Horizon, the moderner vessel, was instead laid up in Greece to join its fleet mates at Aliaga Ship Breakers.
There are a number of reasons for this decision. The first was the COVID-19 pandemic that had ravaged the cruise industry. Many companies struggled to recover from it. Royal Caribbean filed for bankruptcy in Spain and reorganized, eliminating the possibility of the ships being sold to other cruise lines.
It seems that the Pullmantur, Royal Caribbean-owned ships, will soon be scrapped. This is the sad end to a very successful and long career for these ships.
This will hopefully mean that these cruise ships will end and their passengers can find work with other Royal Caribbean cruise lines. This will provide them with a wonderful opportunity to find work, as well as the opportunity to work for an even larger cruise line than they had ever imagined.

A 21-day reposition cruise was packed on board the ship because many people were visiting this region for the first time. The food was delicious, the staff was helpful and there was a friendly atmosphere.
It was annoying to see the large crowds of people who crowded onto the ship and took part in some excursions organized by Pullmantur, which were noisy and busy. Although I didn't like it, it was a common occurrence that we couldn't avoid.
FAQ
These 4 factors will determine the price of your cruise.
The main factors that affect the cost of a cruise are how long you'd like to stay on board, whether an all-inclusive package is preferred, how many people will be traveling with you, and which type of cabin you book.
Do I have to dress up for a cruise or not?
No, you don’t have to be dressed in formal wear or fancy attire. Relax and be comfortable.
How long does it take from port to port?
The time it takes to reach the port depends on several factors, including the distance between the port and the ship, the speed at which the ship travels, etc. It is important to note that some ships dock very close to shore so they can quickly unload their passengers. Some ships dock farther from the shore, which means it takes longer for them to arrive.
